What FormuCraft does
Three formula modes
Build a formula by total %, by base % (baker’s %), or by weight. Switching modes keeps every line’s grams.
Yield scaling
Scale to a raw batch size, a finished yield, or a number of pieces at a set weight. Finished yield accounts for cook loss and process yield.
Water-activity estimate
An estimated water activity with an uncertainty band, plus a hurdle screen. It is a general R&D screening aid only — not a compliance determination, and not a substitute for lab testing or a process authority.
Nutrition Facts
A Nutrition Facts panel built from your formula, ready to print or share as a PDF for your own review.
Pre-weighed spice units & batch sheets
Spice and seasoning lines group into pre-weighed units: one row per bag on the batch sheet, a weigh-up page per unit, and cut-out bag labels. Cure gets its own bag. Print with AirPrint or share as a PDF.
Offline USDA ingredient library
A USDA ingredient library is built into the app, so you can search it without a connection.
AI spec-sheet import
Snap a photo or load a PDF of a supplier spec sheet and let AI pull out the details — your choice of Claude, ChatGPT, or Grok, using your own API key, or Apple’s on-device AI (requires iOS 26 or later; slightly less accurate). You review every field before it’s saved.

Formulas live in spreadsheets, notebooks, and somebody’s head. FormuCraft puts the formula, the yield, the batch sheet, and the spice weigh-up in one place you can carry onto the floor. It’s the same kind of work we help clients with every day.
A screening aid, not a verdict
The water-activity estimate and hurdle screen are there to help you ask better questions early. They don’t replace lab results, validation, or your own food safety review — and we help you with those too.
