Tap the ? at the top left of the home screen for Help & How-To. It has short topics on every part of the app, and Ask a question, where you can type what you want to do and get the steps.

Email [email protected]. Include your device (for example iPhone 16 or iPad Air), what you were doing, and a screenshot if you can. We answer within two business days.

Getting started

  1. Create a project, pick a mode (Base %, Total % or Weights) and set your batch size.
  2. Add ingredients from your library, the built-in USDA foods, or FoodData Central online, or import a supplier's spec sheet.
  3. Open Nutrition Facts, Water activity, Costing or the Batch sheet from the formula.

Common questions

What does FormuCraft cost?

14 days free, with no card needed. After that, FormuCraft Pro is $199 a year or $25 a month (iPhone and iPad). Launch offer: $149 for the first year on the yearly plan when you subscribe by December 31, 2026.

How do I cancel or manage my subscription?

On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings › your name › Subscriptions › FormuCraft. Apple handles billing and cancellation; cancel at least 24 hours before renewal to avoid the next charge.

I got a new phone. How do I get my subscription back?

In FormuCraft, open Settings › FormuCraft Pro › Restore purchases, signed in with the same Apple Account.

Do I need an AI key?

No. Everything works without one, including the built-in USDA foods, market prices, and Help (Apple Intelligence on supported devices). A Claude, ChatGPT or Grok key adds spec-sheet import from photos and PDFs, and more detailed Help answers. You pay that company directly, usually a few cents per sheet.

Which devices are supported?

iPhone and iPad with iOS / iPadOS 18 or later. The free on-device Help chat and spec-sheet reader need a device with Apple Intelligence.

Where do the market prices come from?

USDA Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) Market News reports, refreshed daily (some reports weekly) and converted to $/lb or $/kg. They're wholesale market prices, not quotes.

Is FormuCraft's nitrite and limit check a regulatory approval?

No. FormuCraft is a formulation tool. It calculates ingoing nitrite and compares it with published FSIS limits to help you, but your process authority, HACCP plan and inspector make the final call.
