FormuCraft Privacy Policy
6R Meats LLC · Effective November 5, 2026
The short version
FormuCraft keeps your formulas on your device. We don't have accounts, analytics, ads or tracking, and we don't sell anything about you. A few features talk to outside services, only when you use them; each is listed below.
What stays on your device
Your projects, formulas, versions, ingredients, prices, company name and logo, and settings are stored on your iPhone or iPad. AI service keys you add are stored in the iOS Keychain and are never sent to 6R Meats. Deleting the app deletes this data, except copies you've saved to a shared folder (see below).
Market prices
The Market screen shows USDA wholesale prices. The app downloads these price files from 6rmeats.com about once a day and when you open Market. Like any website, our server receives standard request details (such as your IP address, the time and the app version) to deliver the files and keep the service secure. We don't link these requests to you, we have no accounts to link them to, and we keep server logs only as long as needed to run and protect the service. Nothing about your formulas, ingredients or prices is ever sent.
Reading ingredient spec sheets
When you import a spec sheet, it's read by the reader you choose, only when you start the import:
- Apple on-device: read on your device; nothing leaves it.
- Claude (Anthropic), ChatGPT (OpenAI) or Grok (xAI): the pages go straight from your device to that company using your own key. 6R Meats never receives the sheet or the results. That company's privacy policy covers what it receives.
Help chat ("Ask a question")
Questions you type in Help are answered by Apple Intelligence on your device by default; nothing leaves your device. If you switch the chat to your own Claude, ChatGPT or Grok key, your question and the app's help text go straight from your device to that company. 6R Meats doesn't receive your questions.
USDA food search
The built-in list of 8,000+ USDA foods works offline and sends nothing. If you search FoodData Central online, your search words go to the USDA's FoodData Central service.
Shared folders
If you turn on Storage & sharing, copies of your projects are saved to the folder you pick (for example iCloud Drive or a team SharePoint folder). That provider's terms, and whoever you share the folder with, govern those copies.
Subscriptions and the free trial
Purchases and the free trial are handled by Apple through the App Store. 6R Meats doesn't receive your payment details. The app checks your subscription status with Apple on the device.
What we don't do
No accounts or sign-in. No analytics, advertising or tracking. No third-party SDKs that collect data. We don't sell or share personal information.
TestFlight betas
If you test a beta through TestFlight, Apple may share crash reports and any feedback you choose to send with us, under Apple's TestFlight terms.
Your choices
You can remove your AI keys in Settings, use Apple on-device for spec sheets and Help, turn off Storage & sharing, delete projects, or delete the app.
Children
FormuCraft is a professional tool and isn't directed to children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date.
